These General Terms and Conditions govern the use of FireLearn (firelearn.app) and the paid subscriptions. By using FireLearn or taking out a subscription, you accept them.
Provider
FireLearn is offered by Schülé Beratung GmbH (“freshNew”), Rebhalde 16, 8903 Birmensdorf, Schweiz. Contact: hello@firelearn.app
Services
With FireLearn you can create study sets with flashcards, learn with different modes, tests and games, share sets and play live with others. Many features work without an account. Some features, such as saving across all your devices, need an account; AI features (AI podcast, AI quiz) and unlimited learn mode need a subscription.
We are continually developing FireLearn and may change, add or discontinue features. We will announce any significant restrictions to a paid subscription in advance.
Account
You can sign in with your email or with a Google, Microsoft or TikTok account. Keep your login details secret; you are responsible for actions taken through your account. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or another legal guardian for a paid subscription.
You can delete your account at any time or ask us to delete it. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and prices
The following subscriptions are available (prices in Swiss francs, incl. VAT where applicable):
- FireLearn Lite: CHF 1.00 per month or CHF 9.90 per year — unlimited learn mode and all games, without AI features.
- FireLearn Plus: CHF 3.90 per month — plus all AI features (AI assistant, podcast, explainer video, summary, AI quiz) with a monthly allowance of credits.
- FireLearn Max: CHF 7.80 per month — like Plus, with twice as many credits.
Current prices, credits and what each AI feature costs can be found on the pricing page. Unused credits expire at the end of the month and are not paid out.
Credits can also be bought as a pack, with or without a subscription (1,100 for CHF 5, 2,400 for CHF 10, 5,000 for CHF 20). Purchased credits do not expire. Without FireLearn Plus or FireLearn Max, they unlock the AI features; with one of these subscriptions, they are only used once your subscription credits have run out. They are not paid out or refunded, except in the case of a technical error on our side.
Payment and term
Payment is made in advance through our payment provider Stripe, for example by card or TWINT. There is no trial period: the subscription starts and is charged as soon as you take it out. It renews automatically for the term you chose (month or year) until you cancel it.
If you switch to a higher subscription, the change takes effect immediately and a new term begins from then, with the full allowance of the new subscription. The unused part of your previous subscription is credited to you. A switch to a lower subscription takes effect from the next term. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance; they apply from the following term, and you can cancel before then.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time in FireLearn under “Subscription”. It then continues until the end of the paid term and does not renew. Amounts already paid are not refunded, unless the law provides otherwise.
Under Swiss law, there is no right of withdrawal for subscriptions taken out online. By taking out a subscription, you request that it starts immediately; if a statutory right of withdrawal applies to you, it expires as soon as you use the subscription.
AI features
AI podcasts, AI quizzes and cards created by the AI assistant are generated automatically and may contain errors. Check important content yourself; FireLearn does not replace teaching or professional advice. Do not enter confidential data or third parties’ personal data into AI features.
Your content
Study sets and other content that you create belong to you. You grant us the right to store, display and process them for FireLearn’s features — for shared or public sets, this includes making them available to other people.
You may only upload content that you are entitled to use. The following is not permitted in particular:
- content that infringes copyright or other third-party rights,
- unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or pornographic content,
- spam, advertising or spying on other users,
- circumventing allowances or technical safeguards, and automated bulk requests.
If someone breaks these rules, we may remove content and block accounts. If an account is blocked because of a violation, there is no entitlement to a refund.
Availability and liability
We do our best to provide FireLearn without interruption, but we cannot guarantee this, for example during maintenance or outages at service providers. We are only liable for damage that we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, to the extent the law permits. We are not liable for learning success, exam results or the content of other users.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects an active subscription, we will tell you beforehand; if you do not object before it takes effect, or if you keep using FireLearn, the change is deemed accepted. In that case, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the provider’s registered office, unless mandatory statutory provisions state otherwise; consumers may also bring proceedings at their place of residence.
